Can I measure my child's foot size at home, or should I always go to a shoe store?

Asked a year ago

Hey there, my kid's feet are growing rapidly, and we are currently looking to buy them new shoes. Is there an effective way to measure my child's feet at home so we can buy shoes online? I would rather not have to go to a shoe store several times a year. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes, you can measure at home. You don't always have to go to a store.

While the child leans on a wall in a straight posture, use a ruler/tape to measure from the back of his heel to the end of the longest toe. Do this for both feet and add 0.5-1cm extra room for the toes.
